A full Palanite Enforcer gang with Hardcase Cyber-Mastiffs and a killbot.

Enforcers

It's a different color for them but they wear it well

Unlike a bunch of my gangs, I did very little to modify my Palanite Enforcers.

There’s not zero custom work on them. I added a shield to my Captain and a fancy hat, I switched some guns from hand to hand. I did some minor things but nothing so flashy that they look really unique. So I thought I’d find that difference in color.

No, red is not a color most people associate with the Enforcers. But I think it makes them look unique. Or like Iron Man… Or like Ronald fucking McDonald. The last one was mean but sure, red and yellow, I get it. Still, to me, they look cool. And, importantly, they look very different than my Bad Zone Enforcers.

It’s always funny to me when putting together a gang for the first time. It’s the same problem I had with my Goliaths. I planned out a list and then built the gang to that list but I have, essentially, no flexibility outside of that list, meaning I could shrink my gang to play a smaller scenario but if I joined a campaign with a larger starting cost, I’d have to assemble and paint more models.

It’s a different attitude than when building a gang for a campaign you know you’re going to play. When I build for those scenarios, I usually have my starting line up within the starting credits cost and then I add a few extras that I know I’d like to add as soon as I get some hard cash. Like a better weapon for the specialist. An extra champion. Maybe a couple of juves for flexibility.

And Enforcer Tauros Venator on an Ash Wastes base.

This was how my Escher gang grew to be so large. Plus, then I just build some fun nice to haves. Played a guy who had fun with a grenade launcher. Build myself a grenade launcher. That kind of thing.

These guys have the basic loadout for a 1200cr campaign plus or minus one guy and a robo-dog. And then a car for the Ash Wastes. If I was going to play them in a campaign, I’d have to think about where I’d want to expand them. Additional Subjugators? Look into some heavy weapons? Even more bolters? I don’t know. I’ve only played them in a single skirmish game so at least I like looking at them!
